Sponsorship Opportunities

The Austin CPA Chapter and CPE Foundation provide several opportunities to businesses interested in getting involved with area CPAs. The advantages of Corporate Partnerships include:

  • Networking with some of the sharpest business leaders in Central Texas.
  • Public relations and marketing opportunities at CPA meetings and seminars.
  • Special recognition at Austin CPA Chapter events.
  • Corporate recognition on the Chapter website, monthly e-newsletter and weekly updates to members.
  • Web links from the Chapter website to the sponsoring corporation.

There are several events throughout the year with corporate partnerships opportunities:

Casino Night Scholarship Fundraiser – For several years, this fun social event has provided the majority of the Chapter’s scholarship funds which are disbursed annually to deserving Austin-area students wishing to earn their CPA license. Several sponsorship levels are available and most include tickets to the fundraiser along with generous advertising options for the sponsors. Other ways to partner include donating silent auction and raffle prizes. The next Casino Night Scholarship Fundraiser is scheduled for May 11, 2012. Click here to download the Casino Night Sponsorship Packet (PDF).

Free CPE Expo for Members Only – One way to thank the Austin CPA Chapter members is to give back in the form of Continuing Professional Education (CPE), which is required for most CPAs. The full-day Expo is an annual event proved to be highly popular with CPAs in a variety of fields. Opportunities include vendor booths and lunch sponsors. The next Expo is scheduled for June 14, 2012. Click here to download the Free CPE Expo Sponsor form.

Annual Tax Conference – This two day conference is the largest event produced by the Austin Chapter TSCPA CPE Foundation. Several popular partnership options include vendor booths and breakfast/lunch/break sponsors. The Austin CPA Chapter Annual Tax Conference is scheduled for November 8 & 9, 2012. Please click here to download our Sponsor-Vendor Form (PDF).

Chapter Member Meetings – The Austin CPA Chapter holds three member meetings in a fiscal year (June-May): First Annual Meeting of Members (September), Meeting of Members & Election of Officers (January) and Annual Awards Lunch (May). Only one sponsor per meeting is allowed and covers the cost of dessert for all members.

Bowl-a-Thon Scholarship Fun-Raiser – The Bowl-a-Thon is a family-friendly event scheduled in late winter. Participants are encouraged to form teams and either one exclusive sponsor of $1000 (or two non-exclusive $500 sponsors) is needed to help underwrite the event. Two hours of bowling, shoes and snacks will be provided to all bowlers. Individual prizes will be distributed and children will receive goodie bags for participating. This event is typically held in the first quarter of the calendar year. Please contact Kaira Tanwar if you would like more information.

Holiday Party – Usually scheduled during the first week in December, the Chapter’s Holiday Party is an after-work networking event at no charge to the members. Food is provided and a toy drive for SafePlace is held. Sponsorships subsidize the cost of food and entertainment.

Networking Events – Typically two larger after-work events are scheduled shortly following the major tax deadlines of April 15 and October 15. Corporate sponsorships subsidize the cost of food for the members.

Newsletter - The Chapter's e-newsletter is published monthly to more than 3,000 CPAs and business professionals in the greater Austin area. Sponsorship opportunities range from traditional business card-type placement to full newsletter sponsorship. Contact Linda Messing for details.

Volunteer Appreciation Party – The Chapter could not get anything accomplished without the assistance of its wonderful member volunteers. A party to thank them is given in either April or May on a week night or weekend. Corporate partnerships subsidize the fees associated with food and entertainment.

Monthly Free CPE Programs – CPE is the biggest benefit to Chapter members and normally a two to four-hour course is offered per month. Many corporate sponsors are interested in presenting an educational course and providing breakfast or lunch as well. The Chapter CPE Foundation helps accredit and market the course to CPAs in the Austin area.

Other Opportunities may include sponsoring our softball team, Future CPA/Student and New CPA events, required Ethics courses, Sunrise CPE programs and a variety of other activities planned throughout the year.

If you would like to sponsor one of the above-mentioned events or have an idea for sponsorship, please contact Kaira Tanwar.
